Canada Pork Annual Report
Canada Pork recently completed their second annual stakeholder satisfaction survey. These findings are available in the 2016 Canada Pork Annual Report, which highlights the accomplishments of the past year of National Pork Marketing operations.

“The national pork marketing initiative was officially launched in the fall of 2014 and I’m pleased to report that Canada Pork is now firmly established as Canada’s national market development and promotion organization,” says Dickson Gould, Chair Canada Pork.

The Canada Pork team reported a total of twenty-two Verified Canadian Pork™ programs with end-user partners in the Canadian marketplace. In addition, Canada Pork has licensed twenty-nine Verified Canadian Pork™ partner organizations.

“It’s also encouraging that eight additional processors joined the national pork marketing initiative in the last year bringing our total membership to eight provincial producer organizations and thirteen processing plants,” says Gould. “This represents the vast majority of the pork processing industry in Canada.”

The highlights of the 2016 Canada Pork Annual Report include the following topics:

New Video Launched by Canada Pork
The Canada Pork team recently launched a new video to support the Verified Canadian Pork™ brand. The video, which is titled Verified Canadian Pork™ Farm to Table Quality Assurance, features professional chef Jonathan Collins.

A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Chef Collins has developed a signature style blending North American, European and Asian influences with a distinct Canadian identity, emphasizing fresh, local, seasonal ingredients.

The video emphasizes the core elements of the Verified Canadian Pork brand: food safety, responsible animal care and traceability.
