![]() Canada Pork International along with Canada Beef International Institute presented a meat seminar on June 28th, 2013 at Tenjin Monolith in Fukuoka. The audience included 80 guests from the retail, food service and meat industries in the area. CPI presented the Canadian pork advantage comparing the benefits against other imported pork products. The presentation focused on meat quality, Canada’s world class food safety system, and explained the similarity of Canadian pork to Japanese pork in terms of breeding, feeding, etc. After the seminar, participants enjoyed the outstanding taste of Canadian pork in a variety of different dishes. The event was supported by the Canadian Government Trade Office in Kita-Kyushu and was highlighted as one of main events of the Fukuoka Canada Month. Mr. Chad Fleck, Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner from The Embassy of Canada to Japan, was in attendance and delivered the welcoming speech. Canadian pork sales have been growing in the Kyushu market and CPI’s Japan office will continue their efforts in this area. Back to main page › |
