Canada Pork International (CPI) presented two seminars in Mexico in February, in the cities of Monterrey and Mexico City.

CPI showcased the attributes and advantages of using Canadian pork products in processing operations. The seminars also provided the opportunity to meet with importers and distributors from the processing industry. More than 80 one-on-one meetings were coordinated and 99 local representatives participated at the events. A representative from CPI was interviewed by a well-read regional newspaper.

Canadian exports of pork and pork products to Mexico reached 124,052 tonnes from January to December in 2015, making it Canada’s third largest market in volume. Exports to Mexico have consistently grown over the years. CPI will continue to support this growth by engaging in activities related to market development and market access.
