Verified Canadian Pork™ and Olymel co-brand launch
The Canada Pork team is pleased to announce the launch of another Verified Canadian Pork™ (VCP) co-brand into the Canadian retail marketplace. The Olymel pork brand features vacuum packaged back ribs, tenderloin and half-cut boneless pork loin and is now available in supermarkets in Eastern Canada.
The Olymel pork brand represents a category two VCP partner program—exclusively owned and supplied by a national pork marketing processor partner. Co-brand programs utilize the VCP value proposition and national branding strategy as a platform to build and differentiate premium pork brands in the domestic and export marketplace.

Verified Canadian Pork™ featured in national trade publications
The Verified Canadian Pork™ brand is prominently featured in two industry publications this month. The Canada Pork team placed ads in Canadian Grocer magazine for the March and April/May issues and Foodservice and Hospitality for the February and March issues. These two national publications are the most-read trade magazines for their respective industries with an estimated 75,000 plus readers per issue and will fully engage national grocery and foodservice channels.
Two full-page ads were created, with strong messaging about VCP brand attributes and striking imagery. The two ads featured images of pork tomahawk chops, frenched; one ad featured a raw shot and one ad showcased a cooked shot. The ads will be alternated between issues to achieve maximum impact.
The publications recognized industry interest in Canadian pork and both magazines included additional information related to Canadian pork and the VCP brand with separate articles and quotes.
