![]() CPI Japan supported the Alberta Japan office (AJO) at several events in November. AJO conducted an Alberta meat seminar on November 10th in Osaka at the Hug Museum, the Osaka Gas company’s cooking demonstration facility in Osaka. There were 60 guests in attendance from the meat distribution, retail and foodservice industries along with local media. CPI Japan supported the Canada and Alberta pork presentation and sampling event. In addition, AJO presented an Alberta meat cooking seminar on November 7th also at the Hug Museum. This presentation was geared to housewives, with 50 attending the morning class and another 50 housewives in attendance at the afternoon session. Participants learned how to cook Canadian pork and beef; CPI Japan’s representative Shoji Nomura gave a presentation about the quality and safety of Canadian pork. After the training session, there was an opportunity to sample Canadian pork. AJO will present the same cooking class at Osaka Cooking School’s facilities in Kyoto, Nara, Mie as well as another location in Osaka. Approximately 288 participants are expected to attend these classes which run until the end of November. CPI Japan is pleased to support these sessions with Canadian pork samples. “With more stores in Osaka and Kansai carrying Canadian pork, now is a good time to educate consumers about the quality of Canadian pork and direct them to these stores where they can purchase it,” says Shoji Nomura, CPI Japan. ![]() ![]() Back to main page › |
