In-Store Demonstrations at E-mart
CPI organised a Canadian pork in-store demonstration program in collaboration with E-mart, the largest supermarket chain in Korea with forty locations.
The tasting demonstrations took place between May 24th and May 30th and ran an entire day. Demonstrators wore an apron printed with the Canadian pork logo and had Canadian pork posters and leaflets at their disposal.
The event was very successful with approximately 30% of consumers purchasing Canadian pork after tasting it. Feedback from customers included:
“Canadian pork is popular among Korean consumers, compared to other imported ones.”
“Canadian pork has reasonable price with good flavour.”
“Some consumers were not interested in buying Canadian pork at first, but after tasting, many of them did purchase.”
“Very few of them had concerns about the quality of Canadian pork.”
